This gallery focuses on the different neighborhoods of Chico.
The back wall hosts a map of the Chico area. We encourage and invite visitors to place a red pin for their house, a yellow pin for frends and family, and a green pin of their favorite place in Chico.
Chico Cottage Style
The little ‘house’ is evocative of the cottage style, often seen in the Barber neighborhood. On the wall to the left of the house will be placeholders for pictures of the different neighborhoods of Chico. Chapmantown, Chico Vecino, California Park, etc.
The corner leading to the next gallery is something new we are trying. We’re calling it the ‘Family Corner’. We’re encouraging long time Chico families to contribute and display their own unique mark on Chico history. Bring momentos, stories or photos and participate in the new and growing ‘Community Museum’.
